Which formats and standards are you using in text digitisation?

Succeed project is a support action funded by the European Union. It promotes the take up and validation of research results in mass digitisation, with a focus on textual content. Succeed project is undertaking a survey on standards and formats used in digitisation of textual documents. Please take a moment to fill it in:

The aim of this survey is to gather information about your current practices for master files, delivery formats, metadata as well as OCR and emerging technologies. This information will then help us to define recommendations for texts digitisation in the European and worldwide context. Libraries: Take Our Newspaper Digitisation Survey!

The Europeana Newspapers project wants to build a complete picture of the state of newspaper digitisation in European libraries.

That’s why we’ve recently re-opened our survey on newspaper digitisation. We want as many libraries as possible to respond, so that we can build on the results of the first survey in 2012.

Please share your thoughts before the closing deadline of July 31st, 2013.

Tell us about YOUR newspaper digitisation project

In the summer of 2012, The European Library launched a survey on the extent of newspaper digitisation in European libraries, as part of the Europeana Newspapers Project.

Since that time, we’ve received more requests from libraries that did not manage to submit details first time around.

The survey has therefore been re-opened to allow other libraries to enter details of their digitised newspaper collection. Have a look at the results of the first survey here.

Please share your thoughts by answering the survey. Responses must be submitted by 31st July 2013.
